I lived next to her brother in Queens he was like a grandfather/father to to me. I met Graciela Rivera twice.
With all that she has done in her life, god called her to sing in front of all nations in unity.

At the Memorial Service in the Bronx, two weeks ago, an elderly African American offerred what we consider a remarkable testimonial tribute to Lolita Lebron. His name is Mr. Playthell and his words, recorded by us, opened an entirely new insight into the impact or influence the Attack on Congress on March 1, 1954 may have had on the Civil Rights Movement.

Mr. Playthell recalled how deeply affected he was by the news of the attack. He was originally from the South and was constantly confronting the oppressive strictures of segregation. The Attack on Congress shook his world, made him think that the American status quo could be changed. He had never heard of Puerto Rico, knew nothing about Puerto Ricans. But now he felt inspired. He wanted to meet this "lady who had led the attack." He wanted to learn more about what they had done and why. What was possible for the future? How could things be changed? Two years later, in 1956, he joined the Civil Rights Movement which had begun in 1955.

We are seeking to explore the impact the Puerto Rican Nationalists had on the American psyche and society. This has been, we believe, consciously or unconsciously erased from our historical memory.

this is just the kind of widget/plugin I was looking for - however, I was wondering whether there is a way to run it dynamically - let's say I'm on a regular page, it should show all the posts by date/month - if I'm on an archive page of a specific category, it should just show the entries under that category

thanks

Thanks for the suggestion... I changed my permalink structure, but still no luck.

I upgraded to WordPress 3.0.1 tonight (and noticed that they fixed canonical.php) but whatever my issue is, is still present.

I was excited to find this widget, but I have the same issue, even after making the fix to canonical.php

I am using the permalink structure: /%category%/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

Even when my URL says "../blog/2010/04/" I am seeing all blog posts instead of just those for April 2010.

Has anyone else still had an issue after making the fix?

Racism is an illness of the Soul and mind. It is something that is taught. Cuba, Santo Domingo, Haiti, Jamaica and Puerto Rico, suffered the horrors of slavery, as did most of the countries of the Americas. Everywhere that this happend you have some form of internalized racism between the the people of color. The USA is not free from this imperfection also. But I find people who often write about this being guilty if not of racism then of prejudice. I'm Puerto Rican I lived there for years. There are about 4 million Boricuas on the island yet in my whole life I may only have interacted with less then a hundred or two. Yet we think we can judge millions of people based on the harsh treatment we recieved by a few. I can not speak about any race, nation etc. in general terms to do so really only shows the world our own prejudices and maybe even our own internalized racist attitudes.
